Cultural Arts Workshop
This event provides exposure to and experience in the arts and crafts. The workshop is open to people with disabilities, their families, students, volunteers and rehabilitation professionals. Activities include dance, music, creative writing, woodworking and ceramics.

STAR Splash Bash:

Held every summer, this event provides an opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in water-based activities such as water skiing, kayaking, canoeing and jet skiing.
Adapted Recreation and Sports Days
STAR provides community support for this event, which is organized by East Carolina University’s Campus Recreation and Wellness department. This fall celebration is an opportunity for people with disabilities to be involved in activities such as wheelchair basketball, volleyball, quad rugby, handcycling, water sports and others.
Social Events. Additional information about these events will be posted as they are planned. Examples are SuperBowl party, Pizza parties and special cooking demonstrations. Each December, we sponsor a social event to provide fellowship among the members and to celebrate the past year’s accomplishments. This is also our Annual Meeting where we elect a new Board of Officers for the upcoming year.
